Sleep Out to Help Out

Following the visit to Poland by Joanna Borecka (Director) and Alan Hardy (Trustees Chair) we wanted to do something special to raise funds to provide much needed aid to the Ukrainians still housed in temporary accommodation on the countries surrounding Ukraine.

So our appeal to the people of Hull and the surrounding areas is to “Sleep out to Help Out”.

Sleep out..

We invite you to spend a night in a makeshift refugee camp.

We have teamed up with Welcome House, a local refugee charity who are lending their premises for us to host this event.

Sleep on an uncomfortable roll bed(If you’re lucky) in close proximity to strangers.

Eat whatever food is provided and enjoy or make your own entertainment.

Why would you do this?

…to help out

We ask that you sponsor yourself with family and friends to raise funds for our campaign to provide food and other essential aid where it is most needed.

This photograph was taken just before the van set off from Warsaw in Poland to it’s final destination of Dnipro in eastern Ukraine. This aid was bought with funds raised here in Hull and is part of our overall strategy of helping how and where we can. We are proud of the fact that none of the funds raised here were used to finance the trip to Poland, and that your sponsorship funds will be used for aid.
