Hello everyone!
We are excited to share some updates from our recent committee meeting held on Saturday, June 15, 2024. During this meeting, we signed our constitution and welcomed new members to our committee. The current committee members (photo below) include Asya, Marina, Inna, Olya, Inna, and John, with our director Olya Ivanova at the helm. Olya might not be thrilled with this description, but she is indeed an amazing director, even if she is a bit shy. 😎

Of course, these formalities wouldn’t mean much without the incredible support from all of you. None of our efforts – whether the committee, fairs, or the Hub – would be possible without your dedication and participation. We are all different, but we share a common goal. 🇺🇦✨
Reflecting on last year’s achievements, it’s clear that we are a fantastic team, having raised a significant amount to support our cause. Let’s keep up the great work and aim even higher this year! 😎
Wishing everyone peace and goodwill. 🫶🏻
Once again, thank you to each and every one of you for your support. Ukraine still needs our help, and with our wonderful team and supporters, we can truly make a difference. 🇬🇧🇺🇦
If you would like to join our team, have any questions or feedback, please send us a message! 📩
We are stronger together! 🇬🇧🇺🇦

Hi all! We’ve got a little update for you. As with many things in life, it’s time for a change, and the management board at Hull4Ukraine has undergone some changes of members.
The last 13 months would not have been the same without the tireless efforts of Alan Hardy, Joanna Borecka, Ma Mo, Steve, Chris and everyone else who founded Hull4Ukraine and supported us. We will be forever grateful to you.
The new team is just as dedicated, and we’d love to introduce them!
Ana Mcbride, Olga Ivanova, Katy K Tea, Valentyna Stogniy, Zima Ivan, Inna Malaspina, Anastasiia Kusiumova, Julia Skochiy, Лина Кошкина

Some of you may already be familiar with these names and faces, as they’ve been working passionately behind the scenes for the last year. For those of you that aren’t, we’re sure that you’ll get to know them soon enough!
Once again, we sincerely thank each and every one of you for your support and hope that you will continue to support Hull4Ukraine. Ukraine still needs our help, and with our wonderful new team and supporters, we really can make a difference. ![]()

Initial management
It all started as an online chat between 6 people wanting to help. We cried and we talked and 2 days after the war broke we were determined to help. 2 days later we accepted the very first donations at Living Hope Christian Church where Pastor John welcomed us so warmly. With the help of Hull 4 Heroes and the City Council we have grown beyond anything we could have imagined! Since mid-March we have been operating from the former Staples store in Hull which is a perfect space for accepting, sorting and packing donations and for loading the lorries. We have sent at least 15 lorries each weighing about 12 tonnes and each carrying 26 pallets with humanitarian aid to Ukraine, Poland and Romania. We sent much needed supplies like food, medicines, nappies, toiletries, bedding, clothing, beds, mattresses, toys, prams, pet food.
People of Hull and the surrounding areas responded to our requests for donations with such an overwhelming generosity incomparable with any other place in the UK. The businesses have come forward too – they not only donated goods but most importantly they sponsored the transport of all our lorries!

This photograph shows a fully loaded lorry that left Staples on the 9th of May and is scheduled to reach a charity in Romania on the 17th May. We sent a 2nd lorry to be Romania on 16th May2022 and throughout June 2022 we have collaborated with other organisations to send many part loads of aid.
We are in contact with charities and volunteers in Poland, Romania and Ukraine and they still desperately need our help. The shortages of food are wide-spread, people sleep on the floors and we know we can help! We know we can help because you are supporting us and because with have the most amazing and dedicated volunteers on the planet!
Our objective is to help people of Ukraine fleeing the war so we obviously support those families arriving into Hull and the surrounding areas. We organise Welcome Events and support them with the donated items, if there is anything they need. We want them to feel welcome, safe and part of the amazing multicultural community.
Thank you so much for your amazing support!
