UKRAINE INDEPENDENCE DAY

Dearest friends and supporters, thank you so much for making this year’s Ukraine Independence Day 2025 SO memorable and special! Thank you to the Mayors of Hull and Beverley, and to the Chairman of the East Riding of Yorkshire for coming down and joining in on the fun.

We couldn’t have done this without Becky Lumley , the Reverend of St Mary’s Church Beverley kindly letting us use the space!

It was a day of wonderful live music, poetry and hope. You all did so well in the Ukraine quiz (well, most of you..!) and we thank you for getting so stuck in with all the activities, raffle and crafts.

Thanks to you, we have raised £1068.38

All proceeds will go directly towards providing aid for those affected by the war in Ukraine!

To our wonderful, hard working volunteers, thank you so much for your tireless efforts to make events like these happen. Jane Dainton Quinn, thank you for putting plans in place and for all your and Bridget’s help.

To those who come and support us every week, financially and in your enthusiasm – Thank you! And to all the new faces who came along to celebrate this important day with us – Thank you! It was lovely chatting to you all afterwards and days like these means the world to us, knowing how much support we have from our lovely community.
