It’s been a busy week for Hull 4 Ukraine and HEY UC (Hull and East Yorkshire Ukrainian Community)! Here’s a glimpse into what we’ve been up to:
All donations collected in Hull Central Library and other Hull libraries have been sorted and packed by our volunteers at Emmaus Hull & East Riding. This time we’re sending:
– Clothes, socks, bedding, sleeping bags, adults and children’s nappies for wounded and displaced people
– Scrubs and medical items for doctors at Dnipro hospital
– Medical supplies for tactical medics in Skhid and Kharkiv
– Metal detector for deminers
– Tent, gas cooker with gas bottles, raincoats, boots and tactical headphones for the defenders on the Bakhmut and Zaporizhzhia front lines
And in case you missed earlier news this week, the two generators donated by KWL are also on their way to Ukraine!
As always, we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated much needed aid and money, and to everyone who donated their valuable time to sorting, packing, loading and transporting! A special thank you for your co-operating and continuing support Chris Seaward and @MRN digitprint (https://www.facebook.com/MRNDigiprint) team, @Rocky, Vitalie Nurdinov, Andrius Virbickas, Kristina Pociute, Jean Mckee Prev.
